payment and refund policy

1.0 Purpose

Our aim is to offer high quality education in a safe and stimulating environment at a reasonable price for children in the UAE and to support working and non-working parents. We publish our fees online as an accreditation requirement and for transparency. Please read our fee policy thoroughly to have a clear understanding of our payment terms. This policy will be referred to, if needed in the future.

Nursery Fees

Please approach reception for the current Academic Fees Structure, term fees are due at the beginning of the term as follows

Payment dates for the academic year 2022 – 2023 are as follows:

Termly payments:

29th August (29th August – 9th December)

2nd January (2nd January – 24th March)

10th April (10th April – 30th June)

Term fees are payable for everyday of the term including but not limited to public holiday’s, sick days, or vacation days.

A receipt will be issued for all fees paid which will include your child’s full name, term paid, date of payment and the amount paid.

All fees are non-transferrable and cannot be carried forward to a subsequent academic term/ year.

Method of payment:

Fees must be paid in full at the start of academic year or in quarterly advance payments (minimum 3months in advance).

Cheques should be written out to Kids Spot Nursery / Kids Spot Nursery Branch.

First payment must be received before the child’s first day of the term at the nursery.

Late Payment Fees will be charged at 2% on all outstanding amounts after due date.

In the event of a cheque being returned a fee of 100aed will be charged.

Registration Fee:

A registration fee required upon submission of enrolment packs.

  • The enrollment/registration fee of 2000 AED is non-refundable and includes 2 sets of summer uniform per child, one bag pack and one label booklet.
  • The fee does not include additional uniform, nursery meal packages or transport services.

Ad hoc fees (extra hours / extra days):

All ad hoc timings and any additional invoices must be paid within 15 days from the date of invoice by cheque, cash, or credit card.

Late pick-up fee:

To ensure the quality of our care and safety of our children we request that parents ensure they collect their child as per their registered timings. Of course, we respect that from time-to-time unforeseen delays may occur however, we request that parents are prompt in collecting their children from the nursery.

  • You will receive a grace period of 15 minutes from the registered time of collection, after which you will be charged AED 40 for every additional hour.
  • A late charge will be applied for late collection of children.
  • After 6:00 PM you will be charged AED 20 for every 15 minutes.
  • When a child is not collected from the nursery after nursery hours (past 6:00 PM), staff will make every endeavor to contact the parents, or contact persons nominated on the enrolment form.
  • After a reasonable time, if staff is unable to contact any of the above then the manager will contact the police department. After hours, a sign will be placed on the nursery’s main door as to the whereabouts of the child.
  • Invoices for late pick up’s will be billed every end of the month.

Late Entry:

The full payable amount will be reviewed depending on when a child joins the nursery.

  • Nursery fees will be calculated on weekly rate depending on when the child had joined.
  • Weekly rate is available to short-term registrations subject to availability of space.

Child Withdrawal:

  • If a child withdraws at any time, or does not join the Nursery, the fees for Registration, Transport, and consumed Nursery Meal Packages etc. are non-refundable.
  • If a notice for withdrawal of a child is initiated by the Nursery, the balance of fees will be refunded after deducting the Registration, Transport, consumed Nursery Meal Package, and other fees paid for sessions attended.
  • A child can be withdrawn from the Nursery by providing one full term’s notice in writing to the nursery to secure a refund of the next term’s fees.

Supplementary:

  • The Nursery reserves the right to withhold the child’s nursery report until settlement of outstanding balances.
  • The Nursery reserves the right to refuse re-admission unless all previous outstanding balances have been settled and if fees are not paid in the manner stated herein.
  • The Nursery reserves the right to make any changes and exceptions to its Fee Policy at its discretion at any time.
  • Refunds are not granted for children who are absent during the year.
  • If the nursery is required to close for reasons outside its control, due to regulatory decreed closure or public holidays, there is no fee refund for the time closed.
  • In the event of inevitable full or forced closure, the fees will be calculated from the beginning of the term to the official end date plus 1 month and the rest will be refunded
  • In case of a confirmed COVID case where the learner needs to isolate for 7 – 10 days, he/she will temporarily shift to a distance learning method. All fees during this period will remain the same.
