Class & Age Division Policy

1.0 Purpose

Children are divided up into age groups to ensure that their teaching is age appropriate and conducive to learning. Children of different ages and developmental levels have different learning methods. We welcome children aged 4 months to 4 years for their final class, FS1 (Foundation Stage 1) in preparation for primary school. We do not encourage mid-year transitions to another year group; however, we will recommend this if the child is ready or if the child will jump a year group. This supports the child and ensures a smooth transition for both the child and their family.
