At Kids Spot Nursery, we pride ourselves in ensuring every child is made to feel safe and secure as they take their first steps away from home.
This begins from the very start of your child’s time with us. During admission we will work with you and your child to identify their current routines, food likes and dislikes, play preferences and any other small details that make them feel comfortable. We will then slowly introduce your child to their new environment by following our tried and tested settling in schedule:
Initially we invite our parents and their child to meet their teacher one on one for a ‘getting to know you’ session.
Day 1- We ask you to leave your child for one hour. If they are upset or struggling, we will call you to comfort and collect them.
Day 2- We ask you to leave your child for two hours. If they are upset or struggling, we will call you to comfort and collect them.
Day 3- We try to keep your child for their registered hours. If they are still unsettled, we will reduce hours and keep working with you and your child until they are happy to be left.
The settling in process is unique for every child and we will work closely with you and your child to ensure we make the process as stress free as possible.
